Feel sorry for them privately, but keep your distance

Help only when the need is small and easy to manage

Lord, revive your Church with the compassion of Jesus. Where we have grown numb to crowds of hurting people, give us eyes that see, hearts that feel, and hands that help. Make us active in mercy, and send us out to care for those who are sick and overlooked, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Start by naming one person or group you tend to overlook. Ask God to help you notice them with Jesus' compassion, then ask for one practical step you can take today to help.

Pray to See People Well

Thank God that Jesus does not look at people from a distance. Praise him for compassion that turns into healing action, and give thanks that he sees both the crowd and the individuals within it.

Thank You for Seeing and Caring

Pray for those who feel lost in a crowd: the sick, the weary, the forgotten, and the ones nobody has noticed. Ask God to surround them with mercy and to make you attentive to their need.
