Gather around the baskets before anything is shared

The disciples passed the food to the crowds

The crowds took the food straight from Jesus

The disciples handed the food back to Jesus

The crowd blessed the food for itself before eating

Bring what you have to Jesus and let him use it for others

Wait until you can solve the whole need yourself

Keep it back until it looks impressive enough to matter

Assume God cannot work through small offerings

Pass on what Jesus gives instead of keeping it to yourself

Wait to serve until you can do everything without help

Take credit as though the provision came from you

Step back and do nothing because the need is too large

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you with my need and my emptiness. I admit that I have sinned, and I cannot make myself whole. I turn from my sin and ask for your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord and Savior. Fill my life with your grace and lead me from now on. Amen.

Receive the One Who Provides

Lord, awaken your Church to trust you with what we have and to care for the hungry around us. Break our fear of scarcity, restore generous hearts, and make us faithful to bring our small gifts to you. Let your people become a blessing to the crowds you love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church to Serve

Bring these to God: gratitude for small gifts that are enough in Jesus' hands; thanks for his attention to ordinary needs; praise that he can bless and multiply what is offered.

Thanks for Enough in Your Hands

Begin by naming one need that feels larger than you. Then place the little you do have before God, thank him for it, and ask him to show you the next faithful step. Finish by asking him to use your offering for someone else.

Pray Over What You Already Have

Lord, remember those who feel overwhelmed by need and under-resourced for the task before them. Give them courage to bring you what they have, and let your provision reach the hungry, the weary, and the overlooked. Teach your people to share faithfully, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Facing Too Much Need

Bring these to God: willingness to place small things in Jesus' hands; humility to let him decide how they are used; freedom to serve without needing to be the source.
