Father, revive your Church so we do not stay distant from people in their darkest hours. Give us courage to come near with compassion, steady faith when the night is long, and eyes to recognize your help when it comes in surprising ways. Make us a people who reflect your nearness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Draw Near

Father, when my night feels long, steady my heart with the truth that you can come near even when I cannot see how. Calm my fear, deepen my trust, and let your nearness bring me peace, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Name the part of life that feels dark, ask God to keep you open to his help, and bring one fear to him honestly. Then pause and listen for the next faithful step.

Bring these to God: gratitude that darkness does not keep him away; thanks for times he has helped in ways you could not explain; praise that he comes near when the night is hardest.

Pray for: someone you know who feels stuck in a hard night; courage to be present instead of distant; and grace to trust that God is near even before the situation changes.
