Come, Lord Jesus

Lord, your Church often hesitates when you speak. Revive our faith, renew our courage, and make us quick to obey your voice. Teach us to step out toward Jesus with fresh trust, and let our lives point others to him, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming the place where you feel safest, asking Jesus to speak clearly, and then asking him for one faithful step to take today.

Thank God for speaking a simple word that can draw someone out of fear; thank him for courage to obey, for the mercy that meets hesitation, and for every moment he helps you move toward Jesus.

Thank God for His Call

Lord, when your call feels risky, steady my heart and my steps. Keep me from staying stuck in fear, and help me obey you with a willing spirit, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Steady My Feet

Bring these to God: hesitation, fear of the unknown, and the pull of comfort. Ask for a heart that trusts Jesus more than the boat, and a willingness to follow when he says come.
