If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to save myself. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for my sins and rose again. Jesus, Save Me When I Sink

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown self-reliant and slow to call on you. When we feel the wind and fear the waves, teach us to pray instead of panic, to trust instead of retreat, and to cry out to you together. Wake us up with living faith and steady courage, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Us to Cry Out

Father, when I notice the threat more than your presence, and fear starts to pull me under, hold me fast. Hear my short cry for help, steady my heart, and lift my eyes back to you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Hold Me When I Am Sinking

When a fear rises, name the threat plainly, say one honest sentence to God, and ask for rescue before you try to manage everything yourself. Let your prayer be brief, true, and immediate.

Pray in the Moment

Bring these to God: the habit of staring at the wind, the tendency to panic when you feel yourself sinking, and the need for quicker trust. Ask him to teach you to call on him first and to keep your focus on Jesus.

From Looking Down to Looking Up

Pray for: someone who feels they are losing their footing; a friend who is afraid to admit how deep the waters feel; and the grace for them to cry out to the Lord and receive help quickly.
