Earth and heaven move in the same direction

Let the strongest voice decide so the group can move quickly

Pray together, seek agreement, and act with care rather than personal preference

Treat the matter as private and keep heaven out of it

Assume whatever the group wants is automatically God's will

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I cannot make myself right before God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you to save me. I confess you as Lord, and I give my life under your authority. Amen.

Receive Jesus as Lord

Lord, wake up your Church to take your words with reverence and humility. Teach us to pray together, listen carefully, and seek your heart before we speak or decide. Keep us from pride, haste, and using spiritual language for our own ends. Make us a people whose earthly words and actions are in step with your will, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in Wise Agreement

Pray by naming one decision or disagreement, asking God for unity, and asking him to show what should be held firm and what should be released. Sit in silence long enough to notice any conviction, and then pray again with the others involved.

Pray Through One Shared Decision

Thank God that earthly matters are not meaningless to him. Praise him that he sees decisions, words, agreements, and disagreements, and that he is able to bring them into line with his purpose.

Thank God for Heaven's Attention

Pray for believers who are making hard choices together: that they would listen well, resist control, and find agreement that is faithful to God. Pray also for grace to release what should be released and to hold fast to what should remain.

Pray for Believers to Agree in Truth

Father, train me to slow down before I decide, to listen before I speak, and to seek agreement that honors your will. Keep me from pride, and give me courage to release what you are releasing and hold to what you are holding, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
