Join or help a small gathering that is centered on Jesus

Wait until a much larger crowd is available

Assume Jesus is only present in formal church settings

Treat the promise as a private feeling rather than a shared gathering

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and need your mercy. I turn from my sin and from living for myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to come into my life and be with me. Gather my heart to you and make me yours. Amen.

Gather My Life to You

Lord, revive your Church to gather with one heart in your name. Deliver us from empty routine, isolation, and pride. Make our small meetings alive with your nearness, and let your people know again that you are among us, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People in Your Presence

Father, when I feel alone, overlooked, or unsure that a small gathering matters, remind me that your Son is present with his people. Help me trust his nearness and rest in it today, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Near When We Are Few

Lord, make your people quick to gather around Jesus rather than around preferences, egos, or fear. Give churches, small groups, and families a shared focus on your Son, and knit us together in humility and love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

One Heart in His Name

Pray by naming one meeting, meal, or conversation you will enter this week. Ask Jesus to make his presence known there, and ask for attention, humility, and courage to center the time on him.

Pray for a Jesus-Centered Gathering

Bring these to God: gratitude that Jesus is not far from small gatherings; thankfulness that his people do not need impressive numbers for him to be near; praise for the quiet gift of shared faith; and trust that ordinary meetings can become holy when he is centered there.

Thank You for Your Presence Among Us
