Bring My Debt to You

Lord, revive your Church where we have become harsh, impatient, and quick to demand our own way. Break the habit of controlling others, soften our hearts toward those who owe us or wrong us, and teach us to reflect your mercy. Make us a people who deal truthfully and kindly, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your People in Mercy

Father, I confess that I have sometimes wanted others to pay quickly, and I have used pressure instead of patience. Forgive me for the ways I have grabbed for control. Teach me to speak truth with gentleness and to remember the patience you show me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

When you pray, name one person or situation where you feel owed something. Ask God for a calm heart, a fair mind, and the self-control to speak without force. Then ask what patient next step you can take today.

Pray for a Patient Response

Pray for someone who owes money, time, or an apology; for the one waiting to be repaid; and for any relationship strained by pressure. Ask God to replace panic with wisdom and to open the way toward honest, peaceful resolution.

Peace in Debt and Conflict

Give thanks that God does not treat you with the same harshness you sometimes show others. Thank him for the mercy that gives room to repent, the patience that waits, and the grace that teaches you a better way.
