The one who makes himself humble like a child

The one who proves himself wiser than everyone else

The one who is noticed and honored the most

The one who is physically younger than the rest

Greatness comes from being outwardly powerful

Choose a low place, accept correction, and serve without needing applause

Make sure others see your strengths so they will respect you

Avoid responsibility so no one can accuse you of pride

Act humble in public while quietly seeking the highest position

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and lifted myself up. I need your mercy and forgiveness. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my pride and receive you as my Lord and Savior. Teach me to live under your reign with a humble heart. Amen.

Come to Jesus in Humility

Lord, revive your Church and free us from status-seeking, self-importance, and pride. Make us willing to become small in our own eyes so we can welcome your kingdom with childlike trust. Give us the grace to follow Jesus in true humility, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People in Humility

Father, when I want to prove myself, lower my pride and teach me the quiet strength of humility. Help me receive correction, serve gladly, and trust you without needing to be first, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Teach Me Childlike Humility

Bring these thanks to God: that his kingdom measures greatness differently; that he values the lowly; that he is patient with proud hearts; that he welcomes people who learn humility.

Thank You for a Different Measure

Pray by naming one place where you most want recognition. Ask God to show you the humble path there, then ask for the grace to take it today.

Praying for a Teachable Heart

Pray for someone who is chasing status, for someone who feels overlooked, and for yourself when comparison tempts you. Ask God to give all of you childlike trust and freedom from competition.
