Remove access and create real distance from it

Keep it close and rely on willpower alone

Leave it in place, but promise yourself you will be stronger later

Talk about changing someday while continuing as normal

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that my sin has pulled me away from life, and I need your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and ask you to lead me into true life. Be my Lord and Savior, and help me follow you from this day on. Amen.

Choose True Life

Lord, wake up your Church where we have grown comfortable with what leads us into sin. Give us courage to cut off compromise, to choose true life over hidden destruction, and to help one another walk in purity and truth. Let our lives show that your warning is mercy, and renew us with a holy fear of you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People to Choose Holiness

Father, I confess that I have sometimes kept close what pulls me toward sin. Forgive me for excusing it, and give me honesty to turn away from it. Teach me to value your life-giving ways more than the comfort of compromise, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Lord, Break My Agreement with Temptation

Start by naming one thing that keeps leading you toward sin. Ask God for courage to remove it, wisdom to replace it with something life-giving, and strength to follow through today. Then choose one clear boundary and pray it back to God.

Pray for a Clean Break

Pray for someone you know who keeps circling the same temptation; for courage to make a hard but freeing change; for friends who will not flatter the problem, but will help them choose life.

For Someone Caught in a Pattern of Sin

Father, thank you that you do not leave me in the dark about what destroys me. Thank you for warning me before the damage is deeper, and for calling me toward life. Help me receive your correction as love and to walk in the life you offer, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
