Keep discussing goodness without changing anything

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have not lived as I should, and I turn from my sin and from trusting my own goodness. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to lead me into the life you give. Make me new and teach me to follow you. Amen.

Come to the One Who Is Good

Lord, wake your Church from self-confidence and empty comparisons. Make us humble before your perfect goodness, quick to listen when you speak, and eager to obey what you command. Let our lives point others to the life you give, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your People in Humility

Father, I confess that I often judge myself by comparison instead of your holiness. Forgive me for trusting my own goodness, and turn my heart back to you. Give me a willing spirit to obey what is right, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Turn Me from Self-Reliance

Name one area where you need clarity about what is truly good. Ask God to show you the next faithful step, then sit quietly before him long enough to listen. Finally, ask for the grace to obey what he shows, even if it is costly.

Pray for a Teachable Heart

Bring thanks for: the One who alone is truly good; the clear words that guide us; the gift of life that is found in following him; the mercy that corrects pride and leads us back.

Thanks for the Good One

Pray for: someone confused about what is good; a friend who resists obedience; courage for believers to live by Jesus' words rather than by appearances; a church that treasures holiness and life together.
