Strike back at people who shame you so you do not feel powerless

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and I need your mercy. I believe you were handed over, mocked, crucified, and raised on the third day. I turn from my sin and trust you to forgive me and save me. I confess that you are Lord, and I ask you to be my Savior. Amen.

Receive Jesus Today

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown timid under pressure. Make us faithful when we are mocked, gentle when we suffer, and steadfast when the road is costly. Keep our eyes on the risen Christ, and renew us with courage to bear witness to your power to raise the dead, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church in Hope

Father, be near to anyone who is mocked, shamed, or made to suffer. Give them strength to keep trusting you, and remind them that pain does not have the last word, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Comfort for the Hurt

Name one place where obedience feels expensive, tell God what kind of pressure you fear, then ask him for steady courage and a fixed hope in his rising power.

Pray When Faithfulness Feels Costly

Thank God that shame, abuse, and death are not the end of Jesus' story. Thank him for the hope that his rising gives to everyone who follows him.

Thank God for the Third Day

Pray for people who are mocked, beaten, or treated as disposable; for courage to stand with them; and for God to bring justice, healing, and hope where suffering seems strongest.

For the Mocked and Oppressed
