Set the terms clearly first, then send the person to work

Start the work and talk about pay later if needed

Avoid discussing the arrangement so things stay flexible

Give a vague promise and leave the details open

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and cannot make myself right with God. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to lead my life and bring me into your grace. Amen.

Come to Jesus Today

Lord, revive your Church to serve you faithfully in the places you send us. Make us honest in our agreements, generous in our work, and quick to honor what we promise. Renew our love for daily faithfulness, and send us out as workers who reflect your justice and mercy, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Workers

Thank God for honest labor, clear agreements, and daily provision. Praise him for the dignity of work and for every place where he supplies what is needed for the day.

Give Thanks for Honest Work

Father, help me to keep my word, to speak clearly about expectations, and to be fair in every agreement. Make me trustworthy in my work and gracious in how I treat the work of others, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Help Me Keep My Word

Pray by naming workers, employees, and families who need fair pay, clear terms, or steady work. Ask God to provide for them, to protect them from exploitation, and to guide those who make hiring and payment decisions.

Pray for Workers and Families

Bring to God your reluctance, your confusion about expectations, and any temptation to cut corners. Ask him to make you faithful, ready, and willing to serve where he sends you.
