If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and needed rescue. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and welcome you as my Lord and Savior, the promised Son of David. Open my heart to trust you and follow you. Amen.

Receive the Promised King

Lord, revive your Church where we have grown used to your works and irritated when others honor Jesus. Give us fresh wonder at what you do, humility when children and the least praise you, and joy that joins your saving work. Wake us up to love your Son openly, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Awe in Your Church

Father, thank you for the mighty deeds Jesus does and for the way children can praise him freely. Teach us to recognize your work, to rejoice when you are honored, and to worship with unguarded hearts, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for the Mighty Works

Pray by naming one moment when you feel defensive or jealous because Jesus is being praised, then ask God to replace that reaction with joy, humility, and willingness to join in worship.

Pray for a Humble Heart

Bring these to God: leaders and teachers who need soft hearts; children who praise Jesus with simple faith; worship gatherings that need humility instead of offense; and anyone who needs to see Jesus' good work with fresh wonder.

For Leaders, Teachers, and Children

Father, when I see your works or hear others praise Jesus, keep me from resentment. Give me a childlike heart that rejoices quickly, honors your Son freely, and joins the praise with sincerity, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
