He will forgive them and leave them in charge

They will give the owner the fruit of the vineyard

They will keep the harvest for themselves

Keep control of the work so no one else can receive credit

Delay obedience until it becomes convenient

Focus only on protecting the place, not on producing fruit

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned, misused what God has entrusted to me, and fallen short of bearing the fruit he deserves. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. Forgive me, make me new, and be my Lord. Teach me to live faithfully for you. Amen.

Receive Jesus as Lord

Lord, revive your Church where we have become careless with what you have entrusted to us. Wake us from fruitlessness, cleanse us from self-protection, and make us a people who bring you the fruit you deserve at the proper time. Let our lives and our witness honor you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Fruitful Again

Give thanks for God's righteous judgment, for his refusal to let evil stand forever, and for his wise care in entrusting his work to faithful hands.

Thank God for Righteous Judgment

Pray by naming one area of life God has entrusted to you, asking for help to serve it faithfully, and asking him to help you bring good fruit at the right time.

Pray for Faithful Stewardship

Pray for churches, leaders, and small groups to bring God fruit in season: holiness, justice, mercy, and real obedience.

Father, I confess that I have sometimes held back what belongs to you, or wanted the harvest without the faithfulness. Forgive me, turn my heart from selfishness, and teach me to offer you the fruit of a life that honors you, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
