Keep your attention only on what already looks impressive

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and tried to build my life without you. I turn from my sin and ask for your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Though you were rejected, I receive you as my Lord and Savior. Be the cornerstone of my life and make me new. Amen.

Receive the Cornerstone

Father, awaken your Church to honor the stone you have chosen. Where we have trusted our own judgment more than your wisdom, humble us. Where we have overlooked Jesus, call us back. Build us on Christ alone and fill our eyes with wonder at your work, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Christ Our Cornerstone Again

Praise God for doing what human judgment cannot foresee. Worship him for turning rejection into honor, for giving Christ the central place, and for showing a wisdom that leaves us amazed.

Marvel at Your Wise Work

Give thanks for every time God has used an unexpected person, a delayed answer, or a path others dismissed to show his wisdom. Thank him for Jesus, the cornerstone, and for work that proves better than our first impressions.

Thank You for Surprising Grace

Pray for people who feel dismissed, rejected, or unseen: that God would lift them up, show them their worth, and place them where they can flourish and bear good fruit.

For the Overlooked

Pray by naming one person, place, or idea you have too quickly dismissed. Ask God for humility, a truer eye for his work, and one concrete step of response today.
