A person who collides with the stone ends up broken

When the stone falls on a person, that person is brought to ruin

The warning says everyone is spared if they are sincere

Both situations lead to the same gentle result

Treat the warning as background information and keep going as before

Take the warning seriously now, humble yourself, and seek mercy

Assume the warning applies only to people who are worse than you

Wait until consequences arrive, then decide what to do

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you needing mercy. I have sinned, and I cannot stand before your judgment on my own. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you alone. Be my Lord and Savior, and keep me in your grace. Amen.

Mercy Before the Stone

Lord, revive your Church before our hearts grow hard. Wake us up to your warnings, soften us where we have become careless, and teach us to tremble at your word with humble obedience. Keep us from ignoring the stone of judgment and make us a people who turn to you quickly and faithfully, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Us Before We Harden

Father, for anyone who feels shattered or overwhelmed, bring your mercy near. Keep them from despair, and let your warning lead them into repentance, healing, and hope, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Mercy for the Broken

Pray by naming one warning from God you have been delaying. Ask him to soften your heart, show you the next obedient step, and give you courage to take it today.

Pray with a Teachable Heart

Give thanks for the mercy of God’s warnings, for truth that does not flatter us, and for the kindness that calls us back before ruin comes.

Thank You for Warnings That Rescue

Pray for someone who has already fallen hard: that shame would not be their final word, that they would seek mercy, and that God would draw them back to himself through even a painful wake-up call.
