If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and have often been wrong. I need your truth and your saving power. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and trust you as my Lord. Open my eyes to your Word and lead my life from here on. Amen.

Come to the One Who Is True

Lord, awaken your Church from empty confidence. Keep us from knowing words without surrender, and from seeking power without your truth. Make us humble students of your Scriptures and a people who trust your living power, so our lives point clearly to Jesus, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in Truth and Power

Father, forgive me for the times I have assumed I was right while ignoring your Word. Turn my heart from pride, and give me a gentle, teachable spirit that listens when you correct me, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray by naming one belief, habit, or decision that needs testing. Ask God to show you what the Scriptures say, where you have leaned on your own understanding, and how his power can help you obey today.

Pray for teachers, pastors, and small groups to handle Scripture carefully, not merely as information; ask that God's power would make their teaching living and effective for everyone who hears.
