To road crossings where different paths meet

Wait for people to request an invitation first

Go where people naturally pass and extend a sincere invitation

Wait inside until only the most obvious guests approach

Offer the message only after people have already proven themselves

Keep the invitation narrow so it feels more exclusive

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you as a sinner in need of mercy. I turn from my sin and from living for myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as my Lord and ask you to receive me by your grace. Bring me into your kingdom and teach me to follow you. Amen.

Come Into Your Feast

Lord, revive your Church so we no longer stay at the center of our own comfort. Give us your heart for the people we meet on ordinary roads, courage to speak a real invitation, and joy in welcoming those others pass by. Make us a people who go where you send us and gather others with love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Up Your Church to Go

Father, open my eyes to the people you place before me today. Free me from fear, give me kindness in my words, and help me offer a clear invitation to those I meet. Let me reflect your welcome wherever I go, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Me Ready to Invite

Thank God that his invitation reaches people in busy places, not only the obvious or already included. Thank him for making room at his feast for those who are found along the way, and for the mercy that brought you in too.

Grateful for a Wide Invitation

Pray by naming one ordinary place you pass through often, ask God to show you one person there who needs welcome, and ask for one clear, kind invitation you can extend this week.

Pray About One Crossroads

Bring to God any tendency to stay only with familiar people, any reluctance to step toward strangers, and any assumption that some people are too far away. Ask him to grow in you a hospitable heart that reflects his.
