Keep the outward routine going while leaving motives untouched

Avoid any public religious commitment so no one can accuse you of pretending

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and that my heart has not been clean before you. I turn from my sin and from trying to look right while living wrong. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. Wash me within, make me new, and be my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Make Me Clean Within

Lord, revive your church where we have learned to manage appearances more than souls. Make us honest, humble, and clean within. Strip away performance, restore repentance, and let our lives match our confession, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church's Heart

Father, I confess the places where I care more about being seen well than about being clean before you. Forgive me for the gap between my outside and my inside. Expose what I hide, and cleanse me deeply, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Cleanse Me Inside

Bring these thanks to God: that he warns before hidden corruption hardens; that he sees the inside as well as the outside; that he can expose what is false without giving up on you; and that he offers real cleansing, not just outward polish.

Thanks for a Warning That Heals

Pray by naming one area where your public life and private life do not match. Ask God to show you the first honest step to take, and ask him to keep you truthful before him all week.

Pray for Inner Truth

Pray for leaders, teachers, and churches tempted to care more about looking righteous than being righteous. Pray that hidden sins would be brought into the light, that repentance would be welcomed, and that public witness would grow from a clean heart.
