If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have chased human praise and sinned against you. I cannot make myself right with God. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and from living for applause, and I receive you as my Lord and Savior. Lead my life, and teach me to honor you above everything else. Lord, revive your Church and deliver us from loving titles, attention, and public approval. Make us glad to serve without seeking applause, quick to honor others, and faithful to point every bit of glory back to you. Renew a humble spirit among your people, and let our lives make much of Christ, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Free Your Church from the Love of Applause

Father, I confess that I sometimes want to be noticed more than I want to be faithful. Forgive my pride, loosen my grip on status, and give me a quieter heart that rests in your view of me. Teach me to serve without needing a crowd, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Pray like this: name one place where being recognized matters too much to you; confess that desire plainly to God; ask him to make you content with hidden faithfulness; then choose one small act of service that no one needs to applaud.

Bring these requests before God: that teachers and leaders would serve without loving honor; that the overlooked would be seen and cherished; that your community would value faithfulness over status; and that people would point one another to Christ instead of to themselves.
