A period of calm relief unlike anything before

A period of ordinary trouble people already know

A period when hardship is completely finished

It will be unlike anything experienced before

It will be only ordinary trouble people already know

It has not occurred from the world's beginning up to now

Stay faithful, keep watch, and do not let fear pull you away from God

Treat the warning as only symbolic and let life continue unchanged

Decide that comfort is the best measure of faith

Let the severity of trouble convince you that hope is useless

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I turn from my sin and from trusting my own strength to face the troubles of this world. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to save me, keep me, and lead me when fear and hardship come. Amen.

Receive Jesus in Troubled Times

Lord, when your warning makes us sober, wake your Church from carelessness and fear. Make us steady in faith, tender toward the suffering, and ready to stand with hope when trouble rises. Renew our witness so we do not shrink back when the world shakes, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your People for Hard Days

Father, for anyone facing distress that feels larger than they can carry, draw near with your peace. Remind them that their pain is seen, their tears are known, and their story is still in your hands, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Strength for the Overwhelmed

Pray by naming the trouble honestly, asking God for steadiness instead of panic, and surrendering the future one day at a time. Then ask for wisdom to stay faithful in the present.

Pray for: people who are enduring suffering that feels unbearable; courage to reach out instead of withdrawing; a deeper compassion in the Church for those under pressure.

Pray for Those in Heavy Trouble

Father, thank you that even overwhelming distress is not outside your rule. Thank you that history has a beginning and an end, and that nothing like this can undo your care. Teach us to trust you more deeply because you govern all things, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
