One nation set against another nation, and one kingdom set against another kingdom

One family set against another family, and one neighbor set against another neighbor

One city set against another city, and one village set against another village

One ruler set against another ruler, and one court set against another court

Pray for peace, refuse to stir up hostility, and look for reconciliation

Stay silent and let the conflict sort itself out

Treat the unrest as proof your own group is better

Give help, pray for those affected, and support relief efforts

Wait and see whether the disaster reaches your own area

Use the suffering to make predictions and arguments

Assume that distant suffering is not your responsibility

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, the world is full of conflict and shaking, and I need your peace. I admit that I have sinned and cannot save myself. I turn from my sin and believe that you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord and ask you to lead my life. Amen.

Come to Jesus in Troubled Times

Lord, when nations rise against nations and fear spreads in many places, awaken your Church. Make us faithful, calm, compassionate, and ready to bring peace instead of hostility, help instead of indifference, and prayer instead of panic, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church for Peace

When you hear of war, hunger, or earthquakes, first name the place before God, then ask for mercy, and then ask what one act of love he wants you to take today.

Pray Over the News

Pray for leaders, citizens, and whole regions: that anger would be restrained, wisdom would grow, and people would be spared from more violence and loss.

Peace for Nations and Kingdoms

Lord, where food is scarce and homes are shaken, provide daily bread, safe shelter, and generous help. Open hearts and hands to share with those in need, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Bread and Shelter for the Needy

Lord, thank you that no nation, kingdom, region, or suffering place is hidden from you. Thank you that you hear the cries of the afflicted and that your care reaches farther than any storm, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
