If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I confess that I have sinned and am not ready to meet you on my own. I turn from my sin and ask for your mercy. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I receive you as my Lord and Savior, and I ask you to make my life new and keep me ready for your coming. Amen.

Ready to Meet You

Father, revive your Church with awake hearts and steady hope. Wake us from distraction, free us from delay, and make us a people who live ready to welcome your Son. Let our lamps burn with faith, obedience, and love, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Wake Your Church to Watch

Lord, keep my heart watchful. Help me not to live carelessly or delay what you ask of me. Teach me to carry the light you have given and to stay ready for your coming, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Keep My Lamp Ready

Bring these to God: gratitude for the hope of Christ's coming; thanks that his kingdom invites readiness rather than fear; praise for the light he gives for the journey; joy that he calls people to go out and meet him.

Thanks for the Coming King

Name one place where you tend to become spiritually sleepy. Ask God to wake you there, then ask for one simple step today that keeps you attentive and ready for Christ.

Pray for a Ready Heart

Pray for: Christians who have grown distracted; friends and family who are close to faith but still unprepared; courage to point others toward Christ; a church that lives with expectant hope.
