Try to appear wise even if the choice itself is careless

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and often lived carelessly instead of walking in your wisdom. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I turn from my sin and ask you to lead my life. Be my Lord and Savior, and teach me to follow your way. Amen.

Receive the Lord of Wisdom

Lord, awaken your Church where we have become careless and dull. Make us humble, alert, and wise in the way we live, so that our choices reflect your heart in a confused world. Revive us to seek your mind, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church in Wisdom

Thank God that he does not leave people without guidance; thank him for the gift of practical wisdom, for warnings against carelessness, and for the mercy that calls us back when we drift.

Give Thanks for Wise Counsel

Name one choice that needs wisdom. Ask God to show you what would be careless, what would be wise, and for the courage to do the sensible thing today.

Pray for One Decision

Pray for someone you know who is facing a decision, for protection from foolish haste, and for a clear path into wise and faithful choices.

For Those Making Hard Choices

Lord, make me steady, thoughtful, and quick to listen. Keep me from careless choices, and teach me to value wisdom even when it costs me convenience, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Grow Me in Discernment
