Face the hard reality honestly and ask God for courage

Pretend the danger is smaller than it really is

Delay obedience until the situation feels safer

Focus only on the symbolism and leave action aside

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I need your mercy. I turn from my sin and trust that you died for me and rose again. You went to the place of suffering for me, and I open my life to you now. Be my Lord and my Savior, and lead me in your life. Amen.

Come to Jesus at the Place of the Skull

Lord, awaken your Church to the places we would rather avoid. Make us steady, compassionate, and faithful where suffering is close and hope feels thin. Keep us from turning away from the cross-shaped places of the world, and renew our courage to follow you there, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Revive Your Church for the Hard Places

Father, thank you that Jesus did not stay away from the place of suffering but went there for us. Thank you that his path through Golgotha shows your love and your saving purpose. Teach me to trust you when the road is hard, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Going There First

Name one place, conversation, or season that feels heavy. Ask God to help you face it with truth, to calm your fear, and to keep you faithful step by step.

Pray When a Place Feels Dark

Pray for someone who is walking toward a painful appointment, a grieving family, or a frightening diagnosis; for courage to stay present instead of withdrawing; for God to meet them in the hard place with mercy and hope.

For Those Facing Their Own Golgotha

Praise Jesus for the costly love that carried him to the place of the skull. Worship him for entering our darkest places and for bringing life through the cross. Let your heart stay amazed at his willingness to go there for us.
