46. Formal Translation
But about the ninth hour, Jesus {Iesous, Suffering Messiah} cried out with a loud voice, saying, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?”—that is, “My God, my God, why have You forsaken Me?”
46. Dynamic Translation
Around three in the afternoon, Jesus {Iesous, Redeemer in Agony} shouted, “Eli, Eli, lema sabachthani?”—which means, “My God, my God, why did You leave Me alone?”
