They kept the field for private family use.

Set aside something you control to meet a real need for someone outside your circle.

Talk about care for outsiders, but wait until helping feels more convenient.

Keep most resources for your own group unless there is no other choice.

Offer sympathy, but avoid any practical cost.

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I come to you as a sinner in need of mercy and a place to belong. I turn from my sin and from living for myself. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord and ask you to forgive me, welcome me, and make me yours. Amen.

Welcome Me, Lord Jesus

Father, revive your Church with a heart that makes room for those on the margins. Deliver us from inwardness, waste, and indifference. Teach us to use what you place in our hands for mercy and dignity, so outsiders are treated with honor and compassion. Stir us to live with your concern for the overlooked, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church a Welcoming People

Give thanks for God's care that does not stop at the center, but makes provision for people without a place. Thank him for wisdom, for shared responsibility, and for every act that restores dignity to the overlooked.

Thanks for Practical Mercy

Lord, remember those who feel unwanted, unnamed, or far from home. Provide places of safety, people of welcome, and practical care for them. Open our eyes to see them and our hands to help, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Who Feel Unwanted

First, name the decision you need to make and the resources involved. Ask God for a shared mind, patience to listen, and wisdom to use what you have in a way that serves others well.

Pray Before You Decide Together

Father, grow in me a generous heart that notices outsiders and acts with care. Keep me from protecting only my own circle. Teach me to turn resources into mercy, in the name of Jesus. Amen.
