If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit my sin and my need for your mercy. I turn from my sin and believe you died for me and rose again. Wash me clean, make me yours, and fill me with your Spirit. I confess you as my Lord and Savior. Amen.

Receive Me, Lord Jesus

Lord, as you opened the heavens over Jesus and sent your Spirit, open your Church again. Revive us from pride and hesitation; make us quick to obey, eager to receive your Spirit, and ready for your presence. Let our lives point to you with humility and faithfulness, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Renew Your Church with Humble Obedience

Father, thank you for the moment when Jesus came up from the water and your nearness was made known. Thank you for the sign of your Spirit coming with power and gentleness. Teach me to live with gratitude for your presence, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Thank You for Opening the Heavens

Begin by naming one area where God is calling you to obey. Thank him for showing himself in Jesus, ask the Spirit to help you move quickly, and pray for the courage to follow through today.

Pray for Quick Obedience

Bring these to God: a desire to be receptive rather than resistant; a hunger to notice the Spirit's nearness; and a willingness to obey even when the next step feels small.

Open to the Spirit

Pray for: people who are asking God to make himself known; believers preparing for baptism or a fresh start; and churches that need renewed awe at God's Spirit.
