Admit the need and come to Jesus for help

Pretend nothing is wrong and try to look strong

Wait until life is completely under control before asking for help

Compare yourself with people who seem worse and feel fine

If you would like to receive Jesus, pray this with me: Lord Jesus, I admit that I have sinned and that I cannot heal myself. I turn from my sin and from trying to make myself whole on my own. I believe you died for my sins and rose again. I confess you as Lord, and I ask you to forgive me, heal me, and lead my life. Amen.

Come to the True Healer

Father, revive your church where we have acted as if we were already well. Break our pride, give us humility to admit our need, and draw us back to Jesus for mercy and healing. Make us tender toward the hurting and ready to point others to the Savior, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Make Your Church Honest Again

Merciful God, look with compassion on those who are sick, weary, or overwhelmed. Give them healing where you will, wisdom for the next step, and people who will help them well. Let them find hope in your care, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For the Sick and Worn Down

Name one area where you have been pretending to be fine. Bring it to God plainly, ask for humility instead of pride, and ask him for one honest step toward help.

Pray About What You Hide

Bring to God any pride that resists help, any fear of looking weak, and any habit of relying on yourself. Ask him to meet you as the wise Physician and to teach you how to receive grace.

Bring Your Need Into the Light

Pray for people who are ashamed to admit they need help, for those who feel alone in their weakness, and for open doors to wise care and Christ-centered encouragement. Ask God to lead them to Jesus and to kind people who will walk with them, in the name of Jesus. Amen.

For Those Who Hide Their Pain
