5. Formal Translation Thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Judge of Prophets} concerning the prophets who lead my people astray: when they bite with their teeth, they call out “Peace,” yet against anyone who puts nothing into their mouth, they consecrate war. |
5. Dynamic Translation The LORD {Yahweh, Exposer of Corruption} says about the prophets who mislead my people: when they have something to eat, they declare “Peace,” but anyone who refuses to feed them, they declare war against him. |
