12. Formal Translation Thus says the LORD {Yahweh, Decisive Judge}: “Even if they are at peace, and even if they are many, yet they will be cut down and will pass away. Though I have afflicted you, I will afflict you no more.” |
12. Dynamic Translation This is what the LORD {Yahweh, Determining Outcome} declares: “Even if they appear secure, and even if they are a great multitude, they will still be cut down and vanish. Although I have humbled you, I will humble you no more.” |
