14. Formal Translation Also, from the day when he appointed me governor in the land of Judah, from the twentieth year until the thirty-second year of Artaxerxes the king—a span of twelve years—neither I nor my brothers ate the food of the governor. |
14. Dynamic Translation From the day the king appointed me governor over Judah, from Artaxerxes’ twentieth year to his thirty-second year—a period of twelve years—neither I nor my brothers took the provision meant for the governor. |
