18. Formal Translation And what was prepared for one day was one ox, six choice sheep, and birds were prepared for me, and every ten days wine of every kind in abundance; yet with this the food of the governor I did not request, because the labor was heavy upon this people. |
18. Dynamic Translation Each day one ox, six of the best sheep, and some birds were cooked for me, and every ten days a plentiful supply of wine of every kind was provided; but I never asked for my provision, because the burden on these people was already too great. |
