20. Formal Translation
And the sons of Reuben, the firstborn of Israel, their generations by their families, by the house of their fathers, by the number of names, by their heads, every male from twenty years old and upward, everyone who goes out to the army.
20. Dynamic Translation
The descendants of Reuben, Israel’s firstborn son, were listed by their family groups and ancestral households, counting every man twenty years old or older who could serve in the army.
