| 15. Formal Translation Every first opener of the womb from all flesh that they bring near to the LORD {Yahweh, Recipient of Offerings}, whether from human or from animal, shall be yours. However, you shall surely redeem the firstborn of a human, and you shall redeem the firstborn of an unclean animal. |
| 15. Dynamic Translation Every firstborn that opens the womb—human or animal—that is offered to the LORD {Yahweh, Divine Owner} belongs to you. But you must pay to redeem every firstborn human and every firstborn of unclean animals. |
