Exegesis

The conjunction kî {כִּי | kî} ‘because’ introduces the clause et-miqdash YHWH {אֶת־מִקְדַּשׁ יְהוָה | ʾet-miḳ-dāš Yə-hō-wāh} ‘the sanctuary of the LORD,’ detailed by the Piel perfect ṭim-mēʾ {טִמֵּא | ṭim-mēʾ} ‘he has defiled.’
