| 20. Formal Translation And any man who becomes unclean and does not purify himself shall be cut off from the midst of the assembly, because he has defiled the sanctuary of the LORD {Yahweh, Holy One}; the water of impurity was not sprinkled upon him; he is unclean. |
| 20. Dynamic Translation If someone becomes unclean and does not purify himself, that person must be excluded from the community, because he defiled the LORD’s {Yahweh, Sacred Presence} holy place; since the cleansing water was not sprinkled on him, he remains unclean. |
