| 8. Formal Translation Take the staff and assemble the congregation—you and Aaron your brother—and speak to the rock before their eyes, and it will release its water. You shall bring water out for them from the rock and provide the congregation and their livestock water to drink. |
| 8. Dynamic Translation Pick up the staff and gather the whole community—you and Aaron your brother. Speak to the rock where everyone can see, and it will pour out its water. Then you will draw water from the rock so that the community and their animals can drink. |
