Exegesis
echontas {τοὺς νικῶντας ... ἑστῶτας ... ἔχοντας | toùs nikôntas ... hestôtas ... échontas} functions as an additional object of eidon, so that John sees both the sea and the people: they are defined by ongoing conquering, a firmly established stance, and the possession of harps.
The participle hestōtas {ἑστῶτας | hestôtas} governs the prepositional phrase epi tēn thalassan tēn hualinēn {ἐπὶ τὴν θάλασσαν τὴν ὑαλίνην | epì tḕn thálassan tḕn hualínēn}, placing the conquerors on the very sea just described, and the repetition of ‘sea of glass’ ties the people visually into the heavenly setting.
