14. Formal Translation But I {Iesous, Exalted Judge} have a few things against you: you have there some who hold the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to set a stumbling block before the sons of Israel, so that they would eat idol sacrifices and commit sexual immorality. |
14. Dynamic Translation But I {Iesous, Faithful Corrector} do have a few things against you: there are some among you who cling to the teaching of Balaam, who taught Balak to place a trap before the sons of Israel, leading them to eat food sacrificed to idols and to take part in sexual wrongdoing. |
