The verse begins with two parallel instrumental phrases, en dynamei sēmeiōn kai teratōn {ἐν δυνάμει σημείων καὶ τεράτων | en dynámei sēmeíōn kaí terátōn} ‘in the power of signs and wonders’ and en dynamei pneumatos {ἐν δυνάμει πνεύματος | en dynámei pneúmatos} ‘in the power of the Spirit,’ where the preposition en with the dative conveys means and the genitives specify miraculous agency.
