But we who are strong are obligated {opheilomen: ongoing moral duty} to bear the weaknesses {asthenemata: personal limitations} of those who are weak, and not to please ourselves.
Let each of us please his neighbor {plesion: nearby person} for his good, for building up {oikodomen: spiritual growth}.
For even Christ {Christos, Self-Giving Messiah} did not please Himself, but just as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproach You {Theos, Worthy Of Honor} fell upon Me.”
For whatever was written earlier was written for our instruction {didaskalia: formal teaching}, so that through perseverance and through the encouragement {paraklesis: strengthening comfort} of the Scriptures, we may have hope.
Now may the God {Theos, Source Of Endurance} of endurance and encouragement grant you to think the same thing among one another according to Christ Jesus {Christos Iesous, Model Of Unity}.
So that with one mind and with one mouth you may glorify the God {Theos, Glorious Father} and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Exalted Redeemer}.
Therefore, receive one another, just as Christ {Christos, Messiah And Example} also received you, for the glory of God {Theos, Divine Majesty}.
For I say that Christ {Christos, Servant To Israel} has become a servant to the circumcision for the sake of the truth of God {Theos, Faithful To Promises}, in order to confirm the promises to the fathers.
But the nations {ethne: non-Jewish peoples}, for mercy, are to glorify God {Theos, Merciful Lord}, just as it is written: “Because of this I will praise You among the nations, and I will sing to Your name.”
And again he says, "Rejoice, O Gentiles {ethne: non-Jewish nations}, with His people {laos: covenant community}."
And again, “Praise the Lord {Kyrios, Universal King}, all you nations {ethne: Gentile peoples}, and let all the peoples praise Him.”
And again Isaiah says, “There will be the root of Jesse, and the One rising to rule the nations {ethne: non-Jewish peoples}; in Him {Christos, Universal King} the nations will hope.”
Now may the God {Theos, Fountain Of Hope} of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that you may abound in hope by the power of the Holy Spirit {Pneuma Hagion, Empowering Presence}.
But I myself am convinced about you, my brothers, that you yourselves are also full of goodness {agathosune: moral excellence}, having been filled with all knowledge {gnosis: practical spiritual insight}, able also to instruct one another.
But I have written to you more boldly in part, as reminding you, because of the grace {charis: undeserved favor} that was given to me by God {Theos, Sovereign Giver of Ministry}.
In order that I might be a minister of Christ Jesus {Christos Iesous, Exalted Messiah} to the Gentiles, serving as a priest for the gospel of God {Theos, Gospel Originator}, so that the offering of the Gentiles may become acceptable, having been sanctified in the Holy Spirit {Pneuma Hagion, Sanctifying Presence}.
Therefore, in Christ Jesus {Christos Iesous, Empowering Lord} I have reason to boast in matters that concern God {Theos, Worthy Recipient}.
For I will not dare to speak of anything except those things which Christ {Christos, Working Messiah} has accomplished through me for the obedience of the Gentiles, by word and by deed {ergon: visible works}.
By the power of signs and wonders, by the power of the Spirit {Pneuma, Empowering Presence}, so that from Jerusalem and all around as far as Illyricum I have fulfilled the gospel of Christ {Christos, Mission-Fulfilling Lord}.
So I make it my ambition to proclaim the good news, not where Christ {Christos, Anointed Redeemer} has already been named, so that I do not build on another person's foundation {themelion: underlying support}.
But just as it has been written {gegraptai: prophetic record}, “Those to whom it was not announced about Him {Christos, Revealed Messiah} will see, and those who have not heard will understand.”
Therefore, I also have been hindered {enekoptomen: repeatedly obstructed} many times from coming to you {hymas: plural group}.
But now, no longer having a place {topos: assigned opportunity} in these regions, and having a longing {epipothia: deep yearning} to come to you for many years;
When I travel {poreuomai: planned travel} to Spain, I hope to see you while passing through and to be sent on my way there by you, if first I might be partly filled with your company {meros: shared fellowship}.
But now I am going to Jerusalem {Ierousalem: holy city} to minister to the saints {hagiois: set-apart ones}.
For Macedonia and Achaia were pleased to make a certain contribution for the poor among the saints {hagioi: set-apart ones} who are in Jerusalem {Ierousalēm: city of peace}.
For they were pleased, and they are indeed debtors to them. For if the Gentiles {ethne: non-Jewish nations} have shared in their spiritual things, they also are obliged to minister {leitourgesai: render material service} to them in material things.
Therefore, after I have completed {epiteleo: fully carried out} this and have sealed {sphragizo: officially confirmed} this fruit for them, I will go by way of you into Spain.
And I know that when I come to you, I will come in the fullness {pleroma: total abundance} of the blessing of Christ {Christos, Abundant Blessing Giver}.
But I urge you, brothers, through our Lord Jesus Christ {Kyrios Iesous Christos, Common Lord} and through the love of the Spirit {pneuma, Bonding Love}, to strive together {synagonisasthai: united intercession} with me in the prayers {proseuchai: spoken petitions} for me to God {Theos, Hearer Of Prayer}.
In order that I may be delivered from those who are disobedient {apeithounton: resistant unbelievers} in Judea, and that my service for Jerusalem may become acceptable to the saints {hagiois: consecrated believers}.
So that I may come to you with joy through the will of God {Theos, Gracious Guide}, and together with you I may be refreshed {synanapauesomai: experience mutual rest}.
And the God {Theos, Peace-Giver} of peace {eirenes: wholeness and harmony} be with all of you. Amen.
