For even Christ {Christos, Self-Giving Messiah} did not please Himself, but just as it is written, “The reproaches of those who reproach You {Theos, Worthy Of Honor} fell upon Me.”
3. Dynamic Translation
For Christ {Christos, Suffering Redeemer} did not live to please Himself; instead, as Scripture says, “The insults of those who insult You {Theos, Wronged Yet Holy} have fallen on Me.”
