4. Formal Translation So we were united with Him in burial by baptism into death, that just as Christ {Christos, Risen Messiah} was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father {Patros, Glorious Father}, so we too might walk in newness of life. |
4. Dynamic Translation That is why we were joined with Him in burial by baptism, so that, just like Christ {Christos, Living Lord} was brought back to life from the dead by the glory of the Father {Patros, Life-Giving Father}, we too can live a new kind of life. |
