Ruth 4:6:1וַיֹּ֣אמֶרvayomerand he said
Ruth 4:6:2הַגֹּאֵ֗לhagoelthe redeemer Ruth 4:6:3לֹ֤אlonot Ruth 4:6:4אוּכַל֙ukhalI am able Ruth 4:6:5לגאול־לִגְאָל־לִ֔יlegaolligollito redeem, to redeem, for me Ruth 4:6:6פֶּן־אַשְׁחִ֖יתpenashkhitlest I ruin Ruth 4:6:7אֶת־נַחֲלָתִ֑יetnakhalatimy inheritance Ruth 4:6:8גְּאַל־לְךָ֤geallekharedeem for yourself Ruth 4:6:9אַתָּה֙atayou Ruth 4:6:10אֶת־גְּאֻלָּתִ֔יetgeulatimy right of redemption Ruth 4:6:11כִּ֥יkifor Ruth 4:6:12לֹא־אוּכַ֖לloukhalI am not able Ruth 4:6:13לִגְאֹֽל׃ligolto redeem
6. Formal Translation
And the kinsman-redeemer said, “I am unable to redeem it for myself, lest I impair my inheritance. Take the redemption right for yourself, for I am not able to redeem.”
6. Dynamic Translation
The kinsman-redeemer replied, “I cannot redeem it on my own, because I might spoil my inheritance. Claim my redemption right, for I cannot redeem it.”
