7. Formal Translation
For it is necessary that the overseer be above reproach, as a steward of God {Theos, Sovereign Householder}, not self-willed, not quick-tempered, not addicted to wine, not violent, not greedy for shameful gain.
7. Dynamic Translation
For a leader in the community must be blameless, serving as God’s {Theos, Covenant Householder} manager, not arrogant, not easily angered, not a heavy drinker, not a bully, and not using his position for dishonest profit.
