The temporal frame bayom hahu {בַיּ֨וֹם הַה֜וּא | ba-yôm ha-hūʾ} ‘on that day’ sets an eschatological horizon.

And it shall come to pass on that day, declares the LORD of hosts , that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they shall no longer be remembered. I will also remove the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness from the land.
