Source Text: Hebrew (WLC) Zechariah 13:2:1 ⧉וְהָיָה֩vehayaand it will be Zechariah 13:2:2 ⧉בַיּ֨וֹםbayomin the day Zechariah 13:2:3 ⧉הַה֜וּאhahuthat Zechariah 13:2:4 ⧉נְאֻ֣םneumutterance of Zechariah 13:2:5 ⧉יְהוָ֣הyahwehLORD Zechariah 13:2:6 ⧉צְבָא֗וֹתtsevaotof hosts Zechariah 13:2:7 ⧉אַכְרִ֞יתakheritI will cut off Zechariah 13:2:8 ⧉אֶת־שְׁמ֤וֹתetshemotthe names of Zechariah 13:2:9 ⧉הָֽעֲצַבִּים֙haatsabimthe idols Zechariah 13:2:10 ⧉מִן־הָאָ֔רֶץminhaaretsfrom the land Zechariah 13:2:11 ⧉וְלֹ֥אveloand not Zechariah 13:2:12 ⧉יִזָּכְר֖וּyizzakhruthey will be remembered Zechariah 13:2:13 ⧉ע֑וֹדodagain or any longer Zechariah 13:2:14 ⧉וְגַ֧םvegamand also Zechariah 13:2:15 ⧉אֶת־הַנְּבִיאִ֛יםethaneviimthe prophets Zechariah 13:2:16 ⧉וְאֶת־ר֥וּחַveetruakhand the spirit of Zechariah 13:2:17 ⧉הַטֻּמְאָ֖הhatumeathe uncleanness Zechariah 13:2:18 ⧉אַעֲבִ֥ירaavirI will cause to pass away or remove Zechariah 13:2:19 ⧉מִן־הָאָֽרֶץ׃minhaaretsfrom the land |
2. Formal Translation And it shall come to pass on that day, declares the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Sovereign Commander}, that I will cut off the names of the idols from the land, and they shall no longer be remembered. I will also remove the prophets and the spirit of uncleanness from the land. |
2. Dynamic Translation On that day the LORD of hosts {Yahweh Tsevaot, Divine Judge} will announce that He will erase every trace of idol names from the land so they will be remembered no more. He will also drive out the prophets and the unclean spirit from the land. |
