Exegesis

The reciprocal declarations in amarti ammi hu {אָמַ֙רְתִּי עַמִּי ה֔וּא | ʾā-mar-tî ʿam-mî hû} ‘I will say, “He is my people,”’ and wehu yomar YHWH Elohai {וְה֥וּא יֹאמַ֖ר יְהוָ֥ה אֱלֹהָֽי | wə-hû yō-mar Yə-hō-wāh ʾe-lō-hāy} ‘and he will say, “The LORD is my God,”’ complete the covenant promise.
